Anchor, a global integrated creative/media agency, is hiring a Strategy Director to lead day-to-day strategic efforts for teams working with retainer clients such as BMW, Spotify and other national brands. We are seeking a candidate with the right mix of creativity, curiosity, and quantitative skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate is someone who intimately understands the social and digital landscape, thrives on insights and innovation, and has a proven track record as a successful leader for both brands and teams.


The Strategy Director is a key partner for our clients, responsible for helping set and execute brand vision. He or she should traffic in deep cultural insights, and should have a proven track record in enacting those insights across creative, as well as the ability to refine and expound based on performance. As an integrated agency, our ideal candidate is someone who is able to apply their expertise from brief and ideation all the way through to tracking and measurement.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead day-to-day strategic output, in support of Head of Strategy
  • Develop and present thoughtful and inspiring creative briefs, brand ideas, and strategic communication plans.
  • Build on digital competencies and social capabilities inside our clients’ businesses
  • Build very strong relationships with clients and act as a partner to all on the client end, from brand managers to senior management
  • Partner with the Account Director to ensure agency teams are aligned and functioning at a highly integrated level
  • Partner with the digital and performance team to effectively gather and use quantitative research
  • Participate in new business efforts

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Heavy digital and social experience
  • Demonstrated senior client experience
  • Must be an exceptional communicator, with a strong ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong knowledge of primary and secondary research methodology, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Must have strong management skills, and the ability to identify and grow talent
  • Must be supremely detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and time management skills
